Carey & Company, P.A. is a five person island-based CPA firm currently consisting of two CPA's, one accountant, and a bookkeeping and support staff of two.
 
 
Patrick P. Carey, Jr., CPA
Owner/manager
Pat is a 1981 graduate of the University of Notre Dame and has been an island resident since 1977. He started his career at a large local accounting firm in Charleston, SC before moving to Hilton Head Island. Currently he is Treasurer for People for Parks, a member of the Hilton Head Island Rotary Club,  Treasurer of Sea Island Chapter of CPA's, and a member of South Carolina Bank & Trust advisory board.

Pat is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants.

Pat and his wife Mary live in Hilton Head Plantation.

Anne A. Reed, CPA
Certified Public Accountant
Anne A. Reed, CPA is a graduate of Bryn Mawr College and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She worked in public accounting in Charlotte for twenty years and  has an extensive background in taxation, auditing and forensic accounting. She relocated to Hilton Head Island in 1999, and has worked for Carey & Company since 2004. She is licensed in South and North Carolina. She is currently president of the Sea Island Chapter of CPA's, and treasurer of the Hilton Head Area Council of Estate and Financial Advisors. She is a member of Daughters of the American Revolution.

Anne is an avid golfer, and a member of the Low Country Women's Golf Association. Anne and her husband Larry live in Hilton Head Plantation.

Bernadette Kreisel, CPP 
Accountant 
Bernie has been with Carey & Company since 2004. She is a graduate of Franklin University with a bachelors degree in accounting. She performs tax preparation for corporate, partnership and individual tax clients, and serves on auditing assignments for the firm. Bernie is a member of the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants and the Sea Island Chapter of CPA's.

Bernie is a member of The Island Recreation Center Advisory Board. For relaxation she races in half marathons and triathlons. Bernie and her husband Bob reside in Hilton Head Plantation and have lived on Hilton Head Island since 2001.

Tara Dolan
Office Manager
Tara has been with Carey & Company since 2003. In addition to her duties as office manager she also performs bookkeeping and payroll services for our clients.

Tara is a graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook with a degree in mathmatics and statistics and has been a resident of Hilton Head Island since 1998.

Erika Morgan
Staff Accountant

Erika has over seventeen years of professional bookkeeping and payroll experience.  She was the Business Manager for a prestigious Private School in Reston, Virginia before relocating to Hilton Head Island in 2008.  Erika also worked as a staff accountant for numerous years at a mid-size Accounting firm in McLean, Virginia where she provided on-site and client site accounting services.  She has extensive knowledge of QuickBooks and has assisted many in the set-up of their company's files and trained them how to use it accordingly.

Erika and her husband, Daryl currently reside in Sea Pines Plantation where they can enjoy all the lovely amenities the Plantation has to offer.  This is her second year as a student of the Low Country Wine School and she just recently hosted a family for Hilton Head Heroes.
